Nintendo Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma (Switch)

About this product

Embark on a breathtaking journey with Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, a monumental evolution for the beloved franchise. Exclusively on Nintendo Switch, this action RPG and life-simulation hybrid transports you to the eastern-inspired land of Azuma, a world under siege by a corrupting Blight. As an Earth Dancer—a divine warrior blessed with the sacred power of dance—your mission is nothing less than the salvation of a crumbling civilization. Purify tainted soil, revive fallen gods, and oversee the reconstruction of entire villages from the ground up, a series-first mechanic that expands farming into large-scale strategic settlement management. Wield new weapons like the Bow and Talisman alongside classic armaments to combat the Blight’s manifestations. Choose between two playable protagonists, each with a unique backstory and a shared mysterious fate. Be captivated by distinct seasonal villages that change with the calendar, host traditional Japanese festivals, and are home to a charming cast of characters you can befriend, court, and even romance. Experience a more mature narrative that explores themes of duty and sacrifice while retaining the series’ signature warmth. With its stunning new setting, profound new responsibilities, and intimate personal connections, Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is the most ambitious and emotionally resonant chapter in the series’ history.
